Walk to Remember-Inland Empire
When: October 15th; Check-in begins at 8 AM; Remembrance Ceremony begins at 9 AM
Where: California State University, San Bernardino; free parking in Lot C
What: Please join us as we walk the steps our babies will never take and
celebrate their lives, no matter how short. It is our honor to have you
join us and share your baby with the community. We want to commemorate
their life and the impact it has had on you and those around you. You are
encouraged to invite your support system including family, friends, and
individuals who provided care during your hospital stay. This is event is
open to anyone whose life has been impacted by baby loss. Our hope is that
this event will give you a place to celebrate your baby, assist in your
healing process, and connect you with others facing a similar loss.

BRMC Candlelight Vigil
When: October 15th from 5:30-8:30PM
Where: Baptist Regional Medical Center Gym, 1 trillium way, Corbin, KY 42544
What: We will have speakers, poem readings, singing and a candle lit vigil at 7:00.

Maryland
Elise’s Honor Pregnancy Loss Awareness and Remembrance Family Event
When: October 15th from 5:30-8:30PM
Where: MacGregor’s Restaurant, 331 St. John St, Havre de Grace, MD 21078
What: This event is for all who have been touched by pregnancy loss somehow…whether your own or someone you love…whether miscarriage or stillbirth. There will be food, drinks (cash bar for alcohol), entertainment, raffles, and a wave of light ceremony from 7-8 pm.
Cost and details: Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children 3-10 (under 3 are free). Adult tickets have the option of naming a candle for the wave of light. Proceeds benefit First Candle.

Remembering our Babies, Wave of Light Candlelight Vigil
When: October 15th, 2011 at 7PM
Where: JC Nichols Memorial Fountain, 47th & broadway KCMO
What: Candlelight vigil, with small ceremony included.
Costs and details: We will have luminaries for sale for $5 you can put your child’s info on. (i.e. baby Johnson, Smith twins or Jackson 2011)
We have t-shirts with a list of honor also, for child’s info on back. They are $15. However deadline for t-shirts are Oct 1 by midnight. Luminaries will still be available up to Oct 15.

Violet’s Light Candlelight Vigil
When: October 15th from 6:30-7:30PM
Where: Wes Point Park in downtown Willoughby Ohio. Across from 1 Public Square Willoughby, OH 44094. We will be meeting at the Gazebo. Street parking is available. There are also marked public parking lots.
What: A gathering of remembrance created in honor of my niece, Violet Evelyn Ochoa who was born still on August 12th, 2011. This event is to honor the babies who were taken too soon from pregnancy or infant loss. We will be meeting at 6:30 to share our stories, give out pregnancy and infant loss ribbons, and have a candlelight vigil starting at 7:00 pm. We will be reading the names of the babies we’ve lost.
Cost and details: Free. If you’d like a name added to the list, you can email me ahead of time at or we can always add it before we start. Even if you are unable to attend, you may still submit a baby’s name to be read. Please bring a candle if you wish to participate in the vigil. If you are unable to we will have extra candles available for use.

Baby Dust Book Launch and Signing Event

Face2Face Austin Meet and Greet
When: October 15th at 4:30PM
Where: Location to be announced at the Baby Dust Book Launch (see above event for details!)
What: A local support group affiliate of Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope, will be hosting a gathering for baby loss parents at a restaurant immediately following the launch, probably about 4:30 or 5. Location will be announced at the book launch.

Wave of Light Candlelighting
When: October 15th at 7PM
Where: We meet by the pond next to the lighted fountains behind the Long Center. Park off Riverside Drive near Auditorium Shores or in the lot on Dawson Rd. (Map)
What: Deanna has hosted the annual candlelighting to coincide with the international wave of light for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day for many years. We meet by the pond next to the lighted fountains behind the Long Center to light our candles from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Forever in our Hearts Remembrance Day (Madison area)
When: October 15th from 9AM-12PM
Where: Mckee Farms Park in Fitchburg, WI
What: There will be an inspirational speaker, remembrance walk, dove release, bubbles to heaven, and a silent auction.
Cost and details: Tickets range between $15-20 and can be purchased at www.foreverinourhearts.eventbrite.com. There are also options for remembrance butterflies ($5) and Walk in spirit ($15) for those who cannot join us the day of the event but would like their baby remembered.
